DYNAMIC STEEL CATENARY RISERS
The inherent fatigue resistance of Swagelining’s polymer liner materials makes them the logical choice when selecting a cost effective corrosion barrier for steel catenary riser (SCR) applications.
Comprising a liner, LinerBridge® connectors and WeldLink® terminations, our integrated polymer liner system provides a robust corrosion barrier for an extended operational service life.
The Swagelining integrated liner system also removes the need for pipeline corrosion allowances, offering reduced weight and enabling lower installation and floating production host costs.
STATIC RISER REHABILITATION
Polymer liners have been used extensively onshore to rehabilitate low pressure pipelines and extend pipeline service life. For offshore use, pipeline rehabilitation is typically restricted due to the high cost of subsea intervention and higher operating pressures. However, shorter pipeline lengths such as rigid risers installed on offshore jackets can be rehabilitated adding often valuable years of service to critical production hubs.
Weldlink® end terminations can be installed subsea using either divers or ROV to provide a flanged termination subsea to reconnect subsea pipelines.
The installed polymer liner can prevent further internal pipeline corrosion, preventing additional wall loss and so, if installed at the right time, preventing requirement to de-rate the maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) of the pipeline. Polymer liners also have the ability to span holes, or local corrosion and offer some additional pressure containment.
